Lumeto at IMSH 2026
Experience AI-Enabled Simulation: In VR and OnScreen
Lumeto is heading to IMSH 2026, January 10–14 in San Antonio, Texas, and this year we’re making it easier than ever to experience AI-enabled, multimodal simulation training, whether you train in VR, on screens, or across both.
At IMSH, you’ll get hands-on with InvolveXR in two powerful modes:
Immersive VR simulations for high-acuity, emotionally complex clinical training
OnScreen, our screen-based mode designed to extend access, scale programs, and meet learners wherever they are
You’ll also get the opportunity to try out our brand new Automated Clinical Facilitator (ACF), AI that supports learners inside VR, in real time
From AI-driven patient conversations to automated assessment and competency-aligned learning pathways, our team will be onsite to show how modern simulation can be scalable, adaptable, and deeply human — without adding burden to faculty.
Whether you support a single cohort or oversee a multi-site simulation program, we’ll help you explore what smarter simulation can look like for your learners.
What’s New in InvolveXR?
Expanded Environments and Characters, Built for Real-World Complexity
If you’ve experienced InvolveXR at IMSH before, you’ll notice some things that are different this year.
We’ve significantly expanded our simulation environments and character library, giving educators more control, flexibility, and realism than ever before. From care settings to patient diversity, InvolveXR now supports deeper customization so simulations can better reflect local practice, learner needs, and real-world context.
What You’ll See at IMSH 2026
New Environments. New Characters. Deeper Customization.
If you’ve demoed InvolveXR at IMSH before, this year will feel different in the best way.
At IMSH 2026, we’re showcasing a significantly expanded library of environments and characters, giving educators more control to design simulations that truly reflect the diversity, complexity, and continuity of real clinical care.
Expanded Character Library
You’ll see a broader range of patients, caregivers, and facilitators designed to better represent real populations and learning needs, including:
Adult, pediatric, and geriatric
Older adults with visible aging and chronic conditions
Diverse appearances across age, skin tone, cultural background, and presentation
Characters designed for communication-heavy scenarios such as dementia, end-of-life care, and difficult conversations

These characters aren’t just cosmetic updates, they enable more authentic clinical reasoning, empathy-building, and communication training.
New and Enhanced Clinical Environments
We’ve expanded far beyond a single care setting. At IMSH, you’ll be able to step into simulations across:
Acute care hospital rooms and wards
Emergency and high-acuity clinical spaces
Home care environments that reflect real living conditions
Long-term care and palliative settings
Non-traditional and outdoor environments for emergency response and continuity-of-care scenarios

This range allows educators to design end-to-end learning experiences, from first contact through transitions in care, all within the same platform.
The Artificial Clinical Facilitator (ACF)
Debriefing, Reimagined with AI
At IMSH 2026, we’re introducing something entirely new, and showing it live for the first time.
InvolveXR’s Automated Clinical Facilitator (ACF) is the industry’s first AI-enabled facilitator character embedded directly within VR and screen-based simulations. Attendees can experience how ACF supports learners through structured debrief and reflection, without breaking immersion or relying on constant faculty presence
What is ACF?
InvolveXR ACF is a customizable Artificial Clinical Facilitator that guides learners through meaningful reflection after a simulation. Designed to extend, not replace, educator-led facilitation, ACF acts as a trusted aide in self-directed learning — ensuring every learner receives structured, psychologically safe debriefing aligned with educator-defined goals, anytime and anywhere
This is not a chatbot.
It is a facilitator embodied within the learning environment.
Why it matters
High-quality debriefing is one of the most impactful parts of simulation — and one of the hardest to scale. ACF brings expert-level facilitation directly into VR and OnScreen experiences, helping learners process decisions, connect actions to outcomes, and reinforce clinical reasoning consistently across cohorts.

See the Automated Clinical Facilitator in Practice:
Our ACF acts as an intelligent, always-available clinical guide during VR simulations, helping learners stay on track without breaking immersion.
You’ll be able to experience how ACF can:
Prompt learners at key decision points
Reinforce clinical reasoning and best practices in real time
Support self-directed and low-faculty-ratio training
Improve consistency across learners and cohorts
This is facilitation designed for scale, standardization, and learner confidence, not extra work for instructors.
