Lumeto Welcomes Dr. Suzy Fitzgerald

We are excited to welcome Dr Suzy Fitzgerald, MD, FACEP, FAAEM, CHSE, to Lumeto’s Learning Advisory Board (LAB). With an impressive 20-year career at Kaiser Permanente Northern California (KP NCAL), Dr. Fitzgerald brings a wealth of experience in emergency medicine, emergency management, and simulation training.

Pioneering Simulation Training at Kaiser Permanente

During her tenure at KP NCAL, Dr. Fitzgerald held several leadership roles, including Emergency Management Training Director and Regional Physician Simulation Lead. She pioneered the integration of virtual reality (VR) into medical simulation and emergency training, revolutionizing how healthcare professionals prepare for critical situations. 

Dr. Fitzgerald was also a founding member of the Kaiser Permanente Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality/Extended Reality Clinical Group, further showcasing her commitment to innovation in healthcare education. 

A multidimensional Healthcare Leader

Beyond her time at Kaiser Permanente, Dr. Fitzgerald continues to impact the healthcare community. She currently serves as a telemedicine physician with Teladoc Health and contributes to the next generation of healthcare leaders as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Southern California (USC) Bovard College’s emergency management master’s program. Her ongoing commitment to education and telemedicine keeps her at the forefront of healthcare technology.
